Welcome to my world. I have dedicated my life to helping children and youth receive a second chance at life through Residential Group Home Care, Therapeutic Foster Care, Adoption, and Transitional Living, all programs of Valley Teen Ranch, Inc.
Valley Teen Ranch was incorporated in 1983. We purchased our 80-acre ranch in 1985, located in rural Madera County. Our first of three Residential Group Homes for 10 teenage boys was opened in May of 1987. We started our Foster Family Agency in 1990; our Adoption Agency in 1998; and the Transitional Living Home in 2002.
We became nationally accredited by CARF in 2014.
We are a replica of a successful program in Michigan called Teen Ranch, founded in 1964 by my father, Ray Clendenan. Teen Ranch and Valley Teen Ranch were birthed out of the Youth Guidance Division of Youth For Christ.
We care for close to 75 children and youth every day.
Over 2100 children and youth have been residents in all of our programs since 1987.
Over 225 children have been adopted through our agency.
Over 1700 people have volunteered their time and talents to our organization since 1987.
Over 325 student interns have participated with us from California State University, Fresno and Pacific University in the past 29 years. Many of them become employees upon completion of their degrees.
Over 800 people have been employees of Valley Teen Ranch since we started in 1987. We employee close to 75 full and part time staff each day.
We believe in Team Work, Risk Taking, Communication, Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, and Faith in God to help us every day.
Our motto is “Building Young Lives.”
I would love to meet you, give you a tour of our facility and introduce you to our kids if you are interested.
My life is never boring! Give me a call at 559.437.1144 and we can rock and roll together at Valley Teen Ranch!
Stay strong and have Courage
Connie R. Clendenan, CEO Valley Teen Ranch
